On June 1, 2018, Lansing Trade Group, LLC assumed possession through a lease of the Woodhouse Terminal at the Port of Houston Authority, previously leased by Louis Dreyfus Company. This 6.3Mbu bulk export facility is capable of loading up to Panamax sized vessels and can receive grain by truck or rail with access to the Union Pacific, BNSF, and Kansas City Southern through Beaumont, TX. Lansing Trade Group has a significant presence in the Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas truck and rail markets, and the addition of an export facility will enhance value opportunities for its customers and buyers in these markets as well as others.
Bill Krueger, President and CEO of Lansing Trade Group, commented, “Lansing Trade Group is committed to providing the best value to our customers whether that is U.S. domestic demand or demand found in the export markets. The addition of an export facility as part of our North American infrastructure will bolster existing relationships in the Midwest and South, as well as facilitate development of strong relationships in destination markets. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the Port of Houston Authority and look forward to a long-term relationship with them.”
