Third AMA Session: Your Questions Answered

Greetings feudals,

We're back with the answers from our third AMA session, focused exclusively on the upcoming game wipe. We were thrilled to see so many thoughtful and in-depth questions come in, and we want to thank you all for your active participation and interest in the future of the game.

Your curiosity and engagement truly make a difference in shaping Life is Feudal MMO. So, without further ado, let's get to your questions and our responses.

Can it be considered that after the wipe the final version begins? Or will this be another beta?

- This upcoming wipe will indeed pave the way for the next phase of the game's development. However, this doesn't mean we're at the final version just yet. Work on the game will continue, and the next stage will commence with a second wave of playtesting, which will transition smoothly into the official release, with no further wipes planned. So, while this is a significant milestone, it's not the final version or another beta, but a stepping stone towards our full release.

Will "everything" be deleted? Or will something remain?

- Yes, all characters will be deleted and the world will be reset from scratch. However, as part of this world reset, we plan to reintroduce native villages. So, while individual progress will be erased, these elements of the game world will return.

What will happen to the old premium buildings? In the playtest it has not been possible to build them. Would it be possible to add some to the art skill and others to the construction skill?

- Old premium buildings will be reintroduced as part of bonus activities, either as rewards for subscription duration or in-game activity. We understand that these are not of interest to all players, so we're considering making them a bonus for those who want it. Yes, they will likely be tied to crafting skills.

Is there any plan for the green areas after the wipe? Remove them, move them to most of the game islands, make them smaller etc.

- We currently have no plans to remove or relocate the green areas. However, we are considering options on how to properly balance them. One such idea is to limit the amount of resources that members of a single guild can store in a green zone. But this is just one of the options and not a final decision. We are actively working on finding the best solution.

Are there any plans to change the shape/size of the fiefs so that godenland is not the same after the wipe?

- We are indeed considering changes to the sizes of fiefs and the areas that can be claimed. This could possibly include reducing the maintenance cost of monuments to make the subscription-based gameplay more dynamic. However, these are substantial changes and we are not rushing to make decisions on this matter until we have a sufficient player base.

Are there any plans to change the location of the place regions after the wipe?

Is there any plan to change the resources after the wipe? (Iron, clay, etc.)

- Currently, we don't have any plans to change the locations of regions or the logic of how resources work or are distributed. The game's world layout and resource dynamics will remain as they are after the wipe.

After deletion, will the subscription/Loyalty benefits start to work?

If so. Will they start counting from the first month of the playtest? Or from the first month after the wipe?

- Subscription bonuses will be activated in the release version of the game, but they will account for the entire duration of your subscription, including the playtest period. Additionally, we would like to express our gratitude to the players who supported us during the initial playtest phase before the wipe. We're planning to award those players with a custom title (you still have a chance to earn this title and help choose it - 'native' or 'founder' sound too commonplace).

Will the fast travel totems return after the wipe? And the markets in the green zone? And above all, will the blue zones (admin claim) return from the green zone and the native camps?

- Trading posts in the green zones will indeed make a return, and we are currently considering the optimal locations for these. As for the travel totems, we're still discussing whether or not to bring them back, but they definitely won't be available immediately after the wipe. For a smoother transition from the newbie island to Godenland, we're considering options like choosing a destination or using a friend's code to make it easier for players to start the game with their friends. Lastly, the blue zones will return for native camps.

Will the native camps work correctly after the wipe? Or will they be disabled while they are fixed?

- The NPC behavior is expected to normalize after the return of the villages, which we will reinstate following the wipe. We will continue to monitor their behavior and make adjustments as necessary to ensure they function correctly. So, you can expect the native camps to be in working order after the wipe.

What will happen to the names of the characters/clans after the wipe. Will they be from the first player to get them?

- All characters, guilds, and their names from the first playtest wave will be deleted. However, we have implemented a function that will allow players to reclaim their character names that they used in the version before the servers were shut down. To do this, you'll need to use the same email that you used to create your character before the servers were closed.

We plan to do the same for the active guilds at the time of server shutdown. For guilds, however, owners will need to contact support with a request for guild renaming, which needs to be created in advance. This request should come from an account that was in the guild before, and if possible, provide additional proof.

After the wipe, will there be any limitation of subscriptions by IP or something similar? Maybe buy 2 subscriptions to have more characters.

- After the wipe, there will be no limitations on subscriptions by IP or anything similar. We don't currently have plans to restrict the purchase of multiple subscriptions.

Will the F2P variant be available with the initial launch of the game?

- No, the Free-to-Play variant of the game will not be available at the initial launch of sub variant. It will be released later. Rest assured, we will announce each new variant separately, so you won't miss their release if you keep up with our news.

Will old LiFMMO players receive some special bonus when the wipe is done and the game is released?

- Yes, both old and new players of LIFMMO will receive some special bonuses when the game wipe is done. Old players will be granted a 7-day free trial to explore the game again. Those who already have subscriptions will have an additional 7 days added to their current subscription period. In the future, we plan to offer a trial period to new players as well.

How much time will pass between the wipe (Subscription variant release) and the release of the other variants of the game, and which will come 1st?

- The subscription variant of the game will be the first to be released. The subsequent variants of the game will not be released until several months after the full release of the previous variant. So, there will be a gap of a few months between each variant's release.

Considering we are already in July and the wipe will happen within this month, what do you plan to attract a big amount of players into the game in so few time? (1st wave is normally the most important)

- Our marketing team has been preparing for the wipe and launch for quite some time and we have a plethora of activities planned across various platforms and in different formats. Some of the initiatives that you'll be able to notice include collaborations with influencers and various promotional codes. For the subscription variant, these codes will often include bonus game time, as we won't be giving players unfair advantages.

How will you do to keep the game after months/year of running with no wipes?

- To keep the game fresh and engaging over months and even years without wipes, we are planning to add interactive events and make revisions to the game's map and balance. Our aim is to make the game world feel more alive and continuously evolving.

What are you actually tested and what are the results of that test?

- The biggest issue we discovered during the playtest was related to the native villages and the behavior of the natives themselves. This turned out to be a problem that couldn't be fixed without a wipe. On the positive side, the first phase of testing confirmed that our infrastructure and services are functioning correctly, and that the game itself is working as intended. This gives us confidence that we are ready for scaling.

Will any cosmetic reward be awarded to current playtest players?

- While we don't currently plan to award cosmetic items, we are considering what title we could give to playtest participants. In terms of cosmetic bonuses and rewards, playtest participants will have an advantage over those who subscribe later.

Is there any other update you are going to release before wipe with stuff to test? Like the pvp revamp - redo?

- We've already released updates to the skill system and made some changes to the combat system. We are currently observing their stability and will be making changes and improvements based on your feedback. So, while there's nothing specifically scheduled for release prior to the wipe, we're continually working on adjustments and improvements.
